USB hot-plug

USB devices come and go while Genera runs. The runtime watches the USB ports; a USB stick plugged into the laptop is enumerated, configured and read, and becomes a disk Genera sees, with its partitions; pulled out, it is gone again. Each change is an event Genera receives — Show VLM Events lists them and Genera turns them into notifications — and Genera can run actions on the hardware, such as a read test of a disk or a rescan of a USB controller.

A USB stick plugged in while Genera runs: Show VLM Events has its arrival, Show USB Devices lists it on port 16, and Show Disks shows it as disk/1 with its partition.
